The Owners
Thomas and Marjorie Gordon have been with horses all their lives. Thomas, from the age of four was falling asleep by the bushes watching in amazement as the horses ran by him with such grace. He was hooked from that moment on. As he grew up, he trained all breeds of horses and mules. He became a rodeo clown and trained two mules “Betty Davis” and “Uncle George”, a spotted mule who weighed 1,650 pounds and was 17 hands high. Thomas was also a very successful thoroughbred trainer.
Marjorie was busy becoming a doctor and owned her first horse at 14. She developed a passion for horses at an early age. Her mother took her to the horse races and she loved it. She not only became a very successful doctor, but she also obtained her training license in 1955 and owned and trained two very successful fillies. She won several races from Belmont to New Mexico.
Marjorie and Tom met while training horses at the Race Track. Their love for horses is being manifested by the ownership and development of this facility into a full service hunter jumper, dressage, western pleasure and thoroughbred training facility.
